Receiving and sending cards to and from different people is part of every person’s life. The cards we receive and send come in different sizes and shapes and were sent for different reasons. Sometimes, they come with presents and especially if they were given for special occasions like Christmas, New Year, Valentine’s Day and even birthdays. Cards are use to relay messages from one person to another as a form of communication.

The process of making these nice special notes are often referred to as card making. Nowadays, this is commonly done by children and teenagers. They make cards for their friends, parents, relatives, teachers and even special someone like crushes and boyfriends or girlfriends. This process used to be part of every classroom activity and was often done for special occasions, but over the years, things changed and now it’s not as important as it was before.

Many people find it hard to make these simple notes with their busy schedules and would prefer to buy pre-made ones in bookstores. They don’t have the patience and the time to spend preparing and thinking of what needs to be done to make a nice card. They even send gifts without adding notes or letter with them. You might have tried receiving gifts that don’t cards attached to them; this is just an example of how people think that these notes are not important or necessary anymore. But, when you come to think of it, they actually are important and you can even use them to your benefit.

Making these cards is not a waste of your time and effort, the process of card making was invented for several good reasons which are all geared to a person’s benefit. Here are some of the ways that you can use cards for your own good. First, you can use it as a gift to someone special. Second, you can use them to express your feelings. This is true to people who are shy enough to say their feelings to another person. Third, you can use it a memorabilia or souvenir for a special event or occasion. Most cards are sent for special days and some even contain pictures of family, friends and loved ones and so they serve as good ways of keeping memories.

Fourth, you can use it as a source of money. A lot of people make money out of designing and even manufacturing different kinds of cards. Lastly, you can use it to bring your family and friends closer. A lot of people send cards to invite people to special events in their lives like birthdays, baptism, graduations and even simple family gatherings. These are just a few of the ways that you can use these simple notes to make your life better. So, don’t let the good tradition of card making fade away…use it to your benefit!
